We are now looking for an
EXTERNAL AFFAIRS DIRECTOR
to lead our External Affairs function in Finland.
Your role as a member of our affiliate management team involves developing and implementing governmental and public affairs strategies for our Finnish affiliate in line with our corporate objectives and brand values. This encompasses establishing and nurturing connections with relevant internal and external stakeholders, planning and executing initiatives, liaising with government and healthcare system representatives, overseeing media relations (including crisis management), managing corporate branding, and overseeing public affairs campaigns related to our brands and treatments. Additionally, you will be responsible for supervising external agencies, managing executive and internal communications, and handling community relations/citizenship.
You will collaborate closely with the General Manager and the rest of the management team, offering guidance on strategic communication. You will also work alongside the General Manager as a company spokesperson and establish trustworthy connections with significant stakeholders.
To succeed in this position, you should have a Master's degree or equivalent in Communications or Public Relations, coupled with extensive experience in External Affairs, preferably within the healthcare industry. You should have a comprehensive understanding of the local healthcare landscape, including political decision-making, and a demonstrated history of overseeing programs in complex internal and external environments with numerous stakeholders. Additionally, you should have expertise in managing traditional and social media platforms, internal communications, and designing and executing patient-focused programs.
You also have excellent communication skills in Finnish and in English influencing the audience at various organizational levels, both internally and externally. You are experienced in developing, executing and realizing the impact of multiple strategies concurrently, assigning activities and delegating key projects without losing business alignment or focus. Flawless external stakeholder management, creating durable, transparent and meaningful relationships is one of your strengths. You contribute to team culture with drive and enthusiasm whilst managing uncertainty and adapting to change.
